But this unit is made with 316 L surgical grade stainless steel, being the highest quality compared to the normal grades 304-316 There are 3 models of Angel juicers in the market place. Our importer used to import the 5500 and the 7500 model; but now that the 8500 is available they have stopped importing the 7500 and carry the two models 5500 & 8500 only. Below will explain the difference of the models. The original stainless steel twin gear is marketed as the 5500 model. The 7500 model has only a sensor that stops and start the juicer when jammed; whereas with the 5500 model the operator has to press the button. Thus the difference is only the sensor. In the case of the 8500, there is really a big difference because it uses very high quality surgical stainless steel 316L sus gears on the whole juicing front configuration. On top of that it also has the sensor that is in the 7500. The 8500 surgical stainless steel used in the twin gears and the whole front configuration is very expensive. Thus the 8500 model is truly a class of its own (to the people who value quality) as it is the only model that uses the higher quality surgical stainless steel 316 sus gears and juicing filter screens and the cost price difference is almost $200. These gears to match are stamped with the grade of st/steel used. 5500 at $1,395, 7500 at $1,495, 8500 at $1,595. 316 Stainless (UNS# S31600), This does not have low carbon content as compared to 316L, 316LM, and 316LVM.
