The Katadyn Combi uses a ceramic and an activated carbon element, which means: it will filter out all bacteria and protozoa even from turbid water and at the same time reduces dangerous chemicals (chlorine, iodine, pesticides, herbicides).The water will first flow through the filter compartment with the activated carbon and then through the Katadyn-ceramic element. By putting the 0.2 micron ceramic element last, Katadyn safeguards against infections from micro-organisms growing within the activated carbon filter. If the activated carbon element is not needed, it can easily be removed from the filter. Katadyn-ceramic with a pore size of 0,2 micron (0,0002mm) diameter guarantees 100 % removal of bacteria and protozoa including chlorine resistant giardia, cryptosporidium,cholera,shigella, salmonella,E-coli, etc. With an easy single pumping mechanism you will immediately get safe drinking water, retaining its natural mineral content without the need for boiling. The Katadyn Combi is ergodynamically designed from A to Z. Pump handle and body are fitted to the hand for a safe and energy saving operation. In addition, the Katadyn Combi includes a bottle adaptor for PET-, Sigg- Nalgene bottles, so not a drop gets lost.
