Spiritual Stories

We are coming home – the first of several Spiritual Stories

You keep on fighting against yourself – You don’t want to believe who you really are – You thought you would find love on earth – You got exactly what you set in motion by your own actions – You avoid to accept this truth about yourself – You keep looking for answers in the four corners of the earth – You will not be able to keep up this fight against yourself, and you know, that it will not cease, it will never cease, till you look within….
You know that your disharmony can be healed – You think you have found what you were looking for – That’s what you think….  Maybe another drink and you will feel a little acceptance for the life you live – You have never searched for the reason of your disillusion – You never really wrote who you really are – You have been lost outside yourself – You have never ever looked inside
… and really deep down you know….that it never stops…that it never can stop… till you cease to look for it outside yourself…
No, it will never stop till you realize, it’s all about the journey, the way back home – No, it will never cease, so you might as well stop looking for it outside yourself. – It’s time to come home, come inside, and in that stillness, you will find your real home.

For all of the CRACKPOTS of this world, which is most of us! ~ Inspirational

A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the master’s house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his master’s house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. “I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you.” “Why?” asked the bearer. “What are you ashamed of?” “I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your master’s house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don’t get full value from your efforts,” the pot said.

The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion he said, “As we return to the master’s house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path.”

Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered it some. But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load and so again it apologized to the bearer for its failure.

The bearer said to the pot, “Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of your path, but not on the other pot’s side? That’s because I have always known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you’ve watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my master’s table.
Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house.” Each of us has our own unique flaws. We re all cracked pots.

But if we will allow it, the Lord will use our flaws to grace His Father’s table. In God’s great economy, nothing goes to waste. So as we seek ways to minister together, and as God calls you to the tasks He has appointed for you, don’t be afraid of your flaws. Acknowledge them, and allow Him to take advantage of them.

Do we really LOVE?

For most people, this is a strange world we live in, nothing about extremes of happiness and sadness, one day we have a viable harmonious relationship with mutual enjoyment, the next it appears to have all gone.
We then wander what we had in the first place, was it even real? Was it based on any solid sound foundation or was it just a flutter in the wind?

The truth is that real love can only be a pact between two people sharing each others willingness to accept differences.
This would have to include our individual choices, as there is no way that we can impose our standards, beliefs and prejudices onto another.

We need to allow people the room to move, and if we truly care for them, encourage them to do or BE whatever they desire.
When one person attacks another, this person is not centered and is trying to impose his belief system on the other.

As long as the other in turn reacts and then joins the game, he then becomes the victim.
Victims and attackers can never be really happy, as they are only playing a game, and have simply accepted this role for the duration.

A victim is no longer a victim when he refuses to accept the impositions of the attacker, who is always trying to change the other.

His choices in this situation are simple, he either gives it no energy what so ever, does his best to settle things down and responds in a passive manner, or he removes him self from the scene due to his unwillingness to be overwhelmed by the imbalance and air of non acceptance by the attacker.

But of cause in fact both the attacker and victim are often locked into the game and in so doing, can never be happy, until they step outside their current belief system which can only produce much sadness, disillusionment and pain.

The world will always be at war as long as it consists of attackers and victims that accept their respective rolls in this game.

Only when we decide to refuse to play this game, and only then, are we free, we then support each other in all that we do, rather than under mine each other in all that we do. We encourage each other to simply BE.

It Takes Time To Love

Once upon a time there was an island where Love lived alongside the five passions,
Greed, Vanity, Anger, Attachments and Lust, and also some elders called Time and Wisdom.

One day it was announced to the inhabitants, that the island would sink,so they all prepared their boats and left. Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to stay with the island until it started sinking.

When Love was almost sinking, he decided to ask for help.
Greed came by Love in a beautiful boat. Love said, “Greed, can you take me with you?”
Greed answered, “No, I can’t… there is a lot of gold and silver in my boat, there is no place for you.”

Love decided to ask Vanity who was passing by, “Vanity, please help me!”
“I can’t help
you Love, you are all wet and you might damage my boat”, Vanity answered.

Anger was close by so again Love asked for help, “Anger, let me go with you.”
“No… Love, I am so angry and my concentration is elsewhere, so I can’t pick you up.”

Attachments passed by Love too, but she was so busy and infatuated by things around her that she did not listen when Love called her.

Love tried to attract the attention of Lust sailing past, who did not even notice Love, because he was below decks and not at all tuned into Love.

Suddenly there was a voice, “Come Love, I will take you.” It was an elder.
Love became so happy that he even forgot to ask the elder her name.

When they arrived on dry land, the elder went on her own way.
Love asked Wisdom, another elder, the name of the elder who had helped him. “It was Time”, answered Wisdom. “Time? but why did Time help me?” asked Love.
“Because only time is capable of understanding how great Love is”, answered Wisdom.
